James Hirao Araki

ARAKI, James H., 72, of Tampa passed away December 17, 2017. Jim served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He and Cynthia have been Tampa Bay residents for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Agnes (Yamauchi) Araki and his brother, Edward Araki. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Cynthia; his brothers, Janaurius Araki and wife Anne, Stephen Araki, Francis Araki and wife Emi, Paul Araki and wife Lillian, Thomas Araki and wife Julie; sisters, Josephine Araki and Christina Ponton; sisters-in-law, Martha Cavero de Paredes and husband Adalberto and Angela Conway; brother-in-law, Walter Cavero Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth Araki; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 26 at Incarnation Catholic Church, 8802 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at Incarnation. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery on a later date.
