97, of Tampa, passed away March 13th. He was predeceased by his wife, Maureen, and son, Alan. He is survived by sons, Gordon (Marcia), and David (Christine); six grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. He enlisted in the Navy during WWII and served in the South Pacific. He was a plank holder on three different ships. He met his wife Maureen while on leave in New Jersey and married in 1946, and moved to Tampa in 1951, where they raised their three sons. In 1959, he co-founded Southern Electric of Tampa, Inc. After his retirement in 1985, he began many hobbies including: fishing, wood working, gardening, and car restorations of Model A’s and Model T’s. Jack lost Maureen in 2008 and continued to live in their home in South Tampa until 2013. Jack then moved to Apollo Beach to live on the water. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 915, Palma Ceia UMC, the Masons, and a member of the John Darling Lodge No. 154. The family would like to thank Cypress Creek Assisted Living, its staff, Tabitha, and the silver team from Lifepath Hospice for their compassion and care during his final days.
