Dear Mommy,  I  miss you so much.  Life is not the same without you 💔. My birthday is non-existent without yours 💔. So many questions were asked and answered by you. You loved, cared and respected without limits and I hope You know the same was returned to You by All that Loved and Cared for You.  I lived for you, and even though you've been gone for 3 loooong years,  I will do my best to keep living a peaceful life.  Love You with All my being.  And miss you terribly 😔.

I wish you were here to talk to & give me advice. I wish I could hear you voice & see the smile on your face when you saw me. I wish I had a redo for all the things I did or didn’t do. I’ll love you the rest of my life & then some!

I can’t believe it’s been 2 years already, and I miss you so much it feels like it was yesterday. Today I sent Margarita and Marisol a video of you and Marisol in Connecticut, I started crying and didn’t even think of what day it was and it’s the anniversary of your death. I love the way you reminded me of it by putting that video on my iPad as a memory. Thank you for still being with me all the time, just like you promised the day you baptized me. Madrina I love you with my whole heart and miss just as much as I miss my mom and dad. May you Rest In Peace always and until we meet again.

Mommy, I miss you so so much..it feels like you've been gone forever and a day,  I miss your smile  your goofiness,  your wonderful attitude towards life,  even though you went thru many heart breaking situations, you always concourd thru and the respect you have shown to everybody you have met or known, no matter the color, race, religion, gender or sexual preference has been a blessing for your children because we know no difference between any human being.  I can't say enough because you have been an exceptional mother and a great example of  a Woman God fearing Woman,and I'm proud to say that You were my Mother . I was your birthday present and I always Celebrated your birthday instead of mine.  I have no more birthdays to celebrate  because you are gone, but definitely not forgotten.  Mommy..I love you. ❤️

Today marks a trimester without you. I am glad your no longer in pain & finally with your maker but I selfishly wish I could have you back, not sick so I can talk your ear off & ask you more questions than you’d care to hear. Soon I’m taking you to be with dad. Namiah misses you & is still making little things for you, esa salió tanto a ti. I will love you the rest of  my life and then some.

I’m stopping by to wish you a Merry Christmas and I hope we have a better New Year, you are in the presence of our Lord and I know you have his ear, can you put in a plea for us all down here on this ugly earth. Can you please ask him to be merciful and take care of this pandemic and make it disappear the same way it came. You are one of his favorite souls because you were an excellent human being while you were on this earth. I miss your council on a lot of things, but most of all I miss seeing you and being able to hug you. I know the Lord needed his best angel and you answered his call and went home to him . I love you and miss you everyday just like I miss my parents too. But one thing I’m happy for, is that I know you are all better now and you can run, dance, sing, and remember everything and everyone.

La Bendición, so Noche Buena & Christmas where easier than I expected. Pero I am not looking forward to New Years Eve. Ugh...Its always been an emotional day for me, the end of another year, Grammas Birthday & now in addition to that your irreversible absence. I Love & miss you immensely! I hope with my whole entire being that (like your other children said) you had the best Christmas ever! Your Always in my thoughts & forever in my heart.

My oldest sister was always full of love and even under difficult situations had a  smile on her face.  Although our early years we were forcefully separated, our love for one another grew when the opportunity arrived.  She  had many gifts to share with the family but her greatest gift was the  love she shared with all.  She made many sacrifices in her life and suffered many pains but was always forgiving and giving of herself to others.   Irma had a heart of gold and was full of life till the end.  May you be enjoying the life GOD is giving you today and enjoying the fruits of your labor from here on earth.

I love you and will always remember you as the most loving, caring, happy Tia. No matter what was going on in your life, you always had a beautiful smile for us. You loved us so much, even shared taking care of us when we were little.  So versatile in your knowledge to work with your hands, love for plants, cooking, and beautiful artistry and craft skills. I will never forget when we would sing "aguinaldos" inspired by you. I will always remember how much fun we had playing instruments you made for us from tins, lids, forks, etc. I do hope to meet with you in heaven when it is my turn. May you continue to enjoy the gift of eternal life in the Glory of God with Jesus and all the saints and beloved departed family members that have gone before us.  Thanks for teaching us by example to be better persons and live a Christian life.

Mi querida hermana, Irma,

Aunque ultimamente estuvimos lejos una de otra, siempre nos mantuvimos en contacto de una manera u otra. Nunca olvido cuando vivimos tan cerca en Chicago en la Washtenaw, nos ayudabamos y apoyabamos una a la otra con tantos hijos entre las dos. Luego hasta vivmos juntas en casa de Beno Colon en Moca! Tan buenos recuerdos! Las veces que intercambiamos cartas despues de mudarnos lejos de la otra,  aquellos tiempos del pasado nos retaron pero sobrevivimos una vez mas. Siempre he admirado lo luchadora y trabajadora que haz sido, tus cualidades artisticas, versatilidad con manualidades, costura y tus inspiracion para componer canciones y aguinaldos a nuestro Senor Dios y para gozar en las navidades.  Tu bella sonrisa contagiosa que alumbraba el lugar donde estuvieras. Tan bella persona por fuera y mucho mas por dentro,  te voy a extranar muchisimo. A peasr de todo eso, me consuela saber que ya estas descansando con El Senor, que ya viste Su rostro y gozas de las maravillas que El nos promete. Lo se, porque viviste una vida donde todo era para Gloria y Honra de Dios, y reconocias que El es nuestro Padre Tododpoderoso. Contemplo tu valentia al tener una familia tan grande y criarlos correctamente; el amor para tu esposo hasta el ultimo suspiro de su vida. Te admiro tanto por eso y por tantas cosas mas. Te he amado mucho y te voy a extranar.  Haz dado testimonio con tu vida de como cumplir con las ensenanzas de Cristo y lo evangelizabas asi tambien. Preciosa hasta el final de tu vida en la tierra. This is so hard to write because I couldn’t even write on my moms obituary. It’s so good to be bad, yes it’s me trouble, missing you so much. I’m going to miss when you use to sit on the bed and  I would be laying there listening to you read the book you were writing. I would of loved to hear the ending, but God had other plans for you. Maybe when we meet again you could finish reading your story to me. Prima I will miss you, my trips to Tampa won’t be the same. I will never forget all you did for my father when he was sick. You were always there giving a helping hand. I will never forget that, you have a special place in my heart. I love you so much Irma. We still have all your beautiful children that will keep your memory alive.  May you Rest In Peace until we meet again.  This is the picture when I use to talk to you and give you lots of love.

I will FOREVER cherish all of my memories with you. I've always admired how strong of a godly woman you were. Even though its been almost 9 years since we were together, i can still hear your voice and laughter. It truly brings me so much joy. I also loved hearing you sing your worship songs in spanish. From all the holiday breaks spent together in Chicago to our family trips to PR, those great times will always be in my heart. I miss you so much but i have peace knowing that i will see you again in heaven when its my time to leave this earth. I know youre going crazy up there seeing all the beautiful flowers and plants. The priest that did the service spoke so eloquently of you as if he really knew you, the girls must of told him all about you and your life.  He was really good. I remember as a little girl running around the yard to your house, pretending it was a jungle. Thank you for giving me a safe place to grow my imagination, to learn to be creative, handy, curious and crafty. I didn't realize how much of your passion for music and singing I got from you, until I started reminiscing how much and how often your voice was gracing the airwaves.

I've missed you for such a long time, I miss calling you on my way to work or home and you could always tell when something was bothering me just by me saying "I'm ok".  I miss your advice on marriage, on raising kids, recipes and when I was stuck on a Spanish word or phrase.  You were a great mom, a great abuela to the kids and grandkids, you had a great sense of humor, you loved God above all things, all plants and animals. My mother was a amazing woman that loved God. I remember that she would nurse me to health even as an adult. She was a woman of prayer and I believe that a mother’s prayer is very powerful. I was able to lift her up in prayer. I will miss you mom. If I had to take care  of you all over again I WOULD do it in a heartbeat. I am at peace knowing  you are in heaven and happy. I miss you Vieja. There are too many memories with you to fit in a message. Thank you for being a great example of the woman, mother, and wife I aim to be. I'll forever miss waking up to you sneaking in my room to tickle my feet and say "You know I love to be bad." The sound of your voice singing poems "rap songs" will forever echo in my heart. You are the coolest grandma a girl can ever ask for. I continue forward knowing you are happy, healthy, and free with our Lord and savior. Until we're together again, I'll be bad for you. I love you, lady.  

I remember many things about Mone but what I do remember was her whistling and singing. She always called me her little Giant.  She was an amazing cook and loved her coffee in the morning with crackers and butter for breakfast. She loved to do crafts and knitting. I remember one summer when my brother and I went to visit her in Moca Puerto Rico she would show us her plants and flowers all around her house. She loved to talk to her plants and said it helped them grow and stay healthy. She will be missed.  May she rest in peace. We love you Mone.

So many awesome memories, but the best was our quality time we spent together grandma and grandson. Every month she would ask me to drive her around to all different dollar stores, to talk and teach me the value of a dollar. Then we always talked about the Lord, and the great things He does for us. Mone love family, but equally loved the Lord. The best was on my wedding she thanked me because she was able to spend time with her kids as a family and have so much laughs and fun together. Mone loved her family. 

Hi Mom, I miss you so much. I hope we make you proud with your memorial arrangements. I am proud of every part of you...your strength, forgiving spirit, meekness, selflessness, affection & talent just to name a few. I know you will always be with me. You are the definition of a successful woman ~ for she is one who can build a firm foundation with the bricks others throw at her. I LOVE YOU! Thank you for being you. This woman is the most beautiful woman inside and out. Her heart was so giving and loving, no matter what walk of life you came from , she never looked at that.  Even though she widowed young her main concern was her family. She never thought about herself only of others.  She taught us to always forgive and forget, no matter how big the grievance. Madrina lived the way God wants us all to live. I know she is in the arms of our Lord and the Holy family telling them look at my family I did my best work for them. Lord be merciful on them. They did their all for me too.  Father God I hope I made you proud down on earth.
