93, of Tampa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22nd at home. Born in Mayaquez, Puerto Rico, Iris moved to the states in the early 1950s. She was a volunteer with the Brownies and also at MacDill AFB. Iris was very active in her children’s school and enjoyed bowling, gardening, and ceramics. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Oscar; daughter, Norma; and grandson, Eramiah Coppin. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Wilt and Olga Coppin; Son-in-law, Jim Wilt; and grandchildren, Tyler and Morgan Wilt. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th from 1-2pm at Blount & Curry, 605 S. MacDill Ave, with a funeral service to follow at 2pm. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to Lifepath Hospice.
