Harris was born in NY, NY to Donald and Bessie Giannella on June 17, 1936. He went to school at Maywood Jr. High. He married Maryann Manzie on April 29, 1961 in New York City at the Hotel Pierre. He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology and worked as an engineer for Burry Biscuit Company and developed a patent in 1968 for a machine that extruded plastic cookie tray liners to keep the cookies from breaking in the bag. He was involved in a family business later on and totally devoted to his wife, Maryann and daughters’ Lisa, Christy and Andrea’s lives and families.
Harris is preceded in death by his parents, Bessie and Donald Giannella.
Harris is survived by Maryann Giannella, Lisa and Andres Lendoiro, Christy and Carlos Simoni, Andrea and Jeff Duncan, Nancy Giannella and her 3 children, JD, Lee and Andrew, and his beloved Grandchildren, Nickolas, Anthony, Jessica, Vincent, Maxwell and Olivia.
A Celebration of life Mass will be held at 10:00 am August 10, 2024 at St Mary’s Catholic Church 15520 N. Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33613 with a full mass. The family will receive guests before and after the mass. A private ceremony for immediate family will be held at a later date.
