On May 13, 2020, Harold Clay Barber, age 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Harold was born in Roanoke, Va. on March 7, 1944, grew up in Essex, Md., and moved to Tampa, Fla. in 1963. Harold served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated his own landscaping and lawn service business for over 34 years, retiring in 2012.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Jennie P. (Horne) Barber. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 57 years, Barbara (Defibaugh) Barber; loving daughter, Jennie A. Barber; sister, Georgia Holloway (James Clay); nieces, Judith Salazar (Alberto), Patricia Holloway; and great-nephews, James Gray and Jason Roderick (Jennifer).
