She was a graduate of Hillsborough high school. She married her soulmate, Clarence Baker in 1942. For over 50 years they owned and operated their family business, Deluxe Uniforms and Cleaners, on Kennedy Blvd.
Following retirement Boots enjoyed cooking southern style, music and football. For the past 6 years she resided at Seasons of Largo assisted living where she was loving cared for by all the staff. A special thanks to her primary caretaker, Amy, who remained with her through her final hours.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charlie Wayne, her husband of 54 years CA Baker, siblings; Curt Wallace, Elsie Wallace-Cannon, and Warren Wallace.
Boots is survived by, son Clint and wife Cathy, numerous nieces and nephews, a large extended family, including many friends and customers.
A private family graveside service will be held Sunday, December 13, at Garden of Memories, Tampa.
