Gladstone passed away on April 7th, 2021 at the age of 87. He was Born on February 25th, 1934 to Thelma Skelton. Gladstone was Thelma’s little ‘Solider’ he was a fun-loving child and loved playing with his brother Karl who preceded him along with his mother Thelma. Gladstone grew up in Jamaica where he worked at Kaiser Bauxite. Gladstone moved to the Bahamas and later migrated to the United States where he works as a Welder and Pipe Fitter for Enterprise Association of Steamfitters for 41 years. Gladstone met and fell in love with Norma. Gladstone has one son Paul Skelton and seven daughters Angela Stewart, Pauline Skelton, Audrey Archer, Sharon Williams, Thelma Neil and Faith HoSang.
Gladstone loved to travel and has been all over the world. One of his greatest and final trips was to Cuba which he stated he always wanted to go before he died.
Gladstone is survived by his wife Norma, sister Faye, son, daughters and grandchildren Sean, Dion, & Patriesh Williams, Nicole & Darren Archer, Korrine, & Kelly Brownie, Martino Neil, and Khari Skelton. Great-grandchildren Safiyah, De’shawn, Asia, Shanice, Dylan, Keiyha, Taishan, Tamika, Tanish and Isiah. Honorary grandchildren Jerard, Jazmin, Ryan, Elijah and Ezra.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday April 13, 2021 3pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home with Loren Ferguson, officiating.
