Geraldine Gayle LaBarbera

Geraldine G. LaBarbera passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024. Gigi was preceded in death by her son Michael G. LaBarbera and her parents Fred and Lilly Gonzalez. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Don (Sonny) LaBarbera, her son Scott (Megan), her granddaughter Logan Olivia, her sister Sandra (Jose) Garciga and so many other loving family members. Gigi graduated from Hillsborough High School and attended the University of Tampa, marrying the love of her life Sonny at the end of her sophomore year. Gigi was an amazing wife, mother, Nana, and friend. She had a deep eternal love for her family, relatives and lifelong friends. Gigi touched the lives of everyone she met, she will live on in our hearts forever. Gigi’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to her favorite charity Leap Global Missions. A charity that dedicates their time and contributions to rebuilding the lives of severely disfigured children worldwide with a group of highly trained and dedicated doctors and medical staff. A service will be held on Saturday July 20,2024 with visitation from 11 am to 1 pm and a memorial service at 1 pm, at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home,605 S. MacDill Ave. Tampa, Florida.
