MARTIN, George John Jr., 80, of Odessa, Florida passed away April 15, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife Susan (Monis) Martin, and family; son Scott Martin of Boonsville, NY, daughter Lee Ellen (Cameron) Ferguson of Mount Dora, Florida, granddaughters Delia McPhee Ferguson, Rory Catherine Ferguson, and Beatrix Wessell, and sisters Marlene Sweeney, and Rosemary (Jack) Billy.
George attended H.Frank Carey High School in Franklin Square, NY, and served in the US Army. A lifelong entrepreneur, George operated commercial bakery Creative Cuisine Gourmet in Tampa for 20 years. The family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation and Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 18, 2024 between 10 and 11 AM, followed by services at 11 AM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Oldsmar West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa, FL 33635. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude's or Cornerstone Hospice, Tavares Florida 32778.
