Barone, George A., 73, passed away quietly at home on Sunday, November 6, 2016. He was a resident of Temple Terrace and served as a general dentist at the James A. Haley VA Hospital since 1972 where he cared for our nation's veterans with pride and skill. Prior to his 44 year tenure at the VA, he served with the United States Public Health Service from 1969 to 1971. George enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and colleagues, especially if it involved sharing a good meal together. He loved a laugh and a good conversation and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary; daughter Jill Barone (Chad Eidschun); son Jason Barone; brother Raymond Barone (Suzie); mother-in-law Betty Sebastian; sister-in-law Gem Caudill and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Pasqualina Barone and daughter LuAnne. The family will receive friends for Visitation, Monday, November 14, 2016 from 12-1 pm, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa. Service will begin at 1 pm, at the funeral home, followed by interment at 2 pm.
