Frederick “Ricky” Walton Barnes III, 55, passed away on January 21st, 2024, in Tampa, Fl. He was born December 26th, 1968 in Tampa, Fl to Sandra F Barnes and Frederick Barnes Jr. Ricky was a Tampa native and true local legend.
Ricky, a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend is survived by his wife, Kira; daughter, Karsyn; son, Aidan; parents, Frederick and Sandy; brothers, Gabriel and Israel; sister, Summer (Adam) and many nieces and nephews.
Ricky worked for the family business, Barnes Industrial Plastic Piping, for 30 years. He loved surfing, skateboarding,gardening,fishing,and especially scalloping aka the Scallop King.
His happy place for the last 15 years was Weeki Wachee, Fl where he made life long friends and was known to many as Weeki Ricky.
He fought a long, hard fight against cancer and he will be missed by his family, friends and all who were dear to him.
A celebration of life will be held on February 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Blount and Curry Life Event Center 605 S. MacDill Ave. Tampa, Florida.
