Francis Edward Farley Jr.

Ward was born on January 17, 1961 to Dorothy A. and Francis E. Farley in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating from Loyola High School and a brief stint at Loyola College he veered onto what ended up becoming a lifelong career. His first job was in the Durable Medical Equipment industry which kickstarted his career in the field of medical equipment/ services. He became an entrepreneur, creating his own companies, first Spectrum and then Home Safe. The latter has successfully provided home modifications and accessibility for the handicapped for 20+ years.

Ward Farley was also a sports enthusiast. In his younger years he played baseball, basketball, football, and lacrosse. As an adult he became especially fond of golf. If Ward wasn’t busy working in the office, he was most likely on the golf course, watching his boys’ events, or at home watching a game on the television. He was a loving father, a faithful friend, a dependable and caring brother, and a well-loved and respected man.

Mr. Farley was the beloved husband of Edith Loumiet Farley, beloved father of Pierre (Peter) Thomas Farley and John Francis (Frank) Farley, stepfather of Vanessa Hernandez and Rachel Allen, step grandfather of Alyssa and Jordon Hernandez, dear brother of Sharon Farley, Dody Halfhill, Mary Fahey and brother-in-law Dick Fields, Kelly and brother-in-law Brian Newman, the late Christopher and sister-in-law Colleen Farley, and Katie Waltz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Services will be held at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, 6802 Silvermill Dr. Tampa, FL 33635, on Monday from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
