Evelyn Perkins, of Tampa passed away April 16, 2020 at home. She was born in New York City, then moved to Wilmington, Delaware in 1967 to raise her family. She then moved to Tampa with her husband after retiring from the Medical field in 1987. Her retirement didn't last long as she went to work part-time again in Medical at a local facility and enjoyed meeting her new friends.
She loved to cook, garden, travel, play bingo and poker with friends and family. She enjoyed planning large parties for family and friends. Cooking for others was her favorite excuse to be in the kitchen and entertain.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank R. Perkins III in 1999, her son Frank R Perkins IV in 2015, as well as her siblings, cousins and in-laws.
Evelyn will be missed by her devoted, loving daughter Akim Perkins-Monclova and her Son in Law Sam Monclova. Her Grandchildren include Frank R Perkins V, Shanny Floyd, Kari Butcher, Sharon Harty, Daniel and Andrew Monclova and Ainoha Jimenez. Her sister Geraldine Carey and lifelong friends Nancy Whye and Sylvia Collado. Her great grands Cory Floyd, Toddshay Ross, Semaj Ross, Jakeem Ross, Simone Adams, Rachel Harty, Imari ,Tadashi ,Xavier,and Elijah Monclova. Also Sergio, Aiyanna and Alejandro Jimenez. As well as a host of nieces and nephews in Ohio, Delaware and New York. .
Our matriarch will be missed, we love you, rest in heaven, we will all meet again one day .
