YOUNG, Eva Sedding, 91, passed away on June 1, 2016 in Tampa. She was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Tampa in 1949 following her marriage to Morris Arthur “Sam” Young Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Sam Young, son, James Michael Young, her parents, Eva and Cyril Sedding, and her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Sedding and Dolores Sedding Freel. She volunteered at St Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL during WWII and was head Bookkeeper at New York Life Insurance Company. After moving to Tampa and raising 4 children, Eva worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and retired after 30 years of service. Eva was a 33 year volunteer at St Joseph’s Hospital, a member of Palma Ceia Women’s Club and Christ the King Church. Eva was a diehard Florida Gator and Buccaneer fan. She also enjoyed fishing and golf. She is survived by her 3 children; Janet Bradley (Chuck), Robert Young (Carol), Jeffery Young (Belinda), grandchildren; Erin, Stephanie (Brian), Hillary, Sean, Ashley, great-grandchildren; Hannah, Colton, nieces and nephews; Penny (Art), Nancy (Jerry), Amy (Duanne), Julie (Lori), Lindsey (Lee), Jason. A funeral service will be on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11 am with family to accept friends 1 hour prior to service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, Tampa. Special thanks to the staff of Palm Gardens of Tampa and the Lifepath Hospice Gold Team for the wonderful and loving care that Eva was given.
