66, of Tampa, passed away on Wednesday, July 26th at her home surrounded by family. Esther was born in Busan, South Korea where the family had to evacuate during the Korean War. She was raised in Seoul where she met her husband while studying nursing at Yonsei University. They immigrated to the US and were married in Los Angeles before they moved to the East Coast for her husband’s medical training. They eventually settled in Granville, Ohio outside of Columbus where Esther devoted herself to her husband and loving and raising her two children. They relocated to the Tampa area in 2015 to be near their grandchildren. Esther enjoyed traveling, and making memories with family and friends. Esther’s family was most important to her and she loved nothing more than spending time with them. She was a loyal wife, cherished mother and beloved grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 41 years, Seung Hah Park; daughter Jane Sando (Mark); son Daniel Park (Allison); grandchildren Claire and James Sando and Thaddeus Park; sisters Duke Joo, Duke Soon, Duke Eun, Duke Won; and older brothers Hong Duke and Jung Duck. Her parents On Jung and Ji Moon precede her in death. She will be dearly remembered for her warm heart, strong will, sharp mind, strength, determination, and always putting the needs of others before her own. The celebration of her life will be conducted on Saturday, August 5th at 11am at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave.
