Esther Marie Griffeth

Esther Marie Boatwright Griffeth, 88, passed away on April 4, 2023. She was born December 29, 1934 in Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Francis Talmadge (Tam) Griffeth and infant son, John Mark. She is survived by her daughter Becky Lutz (Brad) and four sons Gordon (Amy), Paul (Shannon), James (Carolyn) and Joel (Natalie.) She was Granny to all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was employed for many years in the Student Nutrition Services with the Hillsborough County school system. At the time of retirement she was lunchroom manager with Lee Elementary and Edison Elementary. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ and knew Him as her Savior.

She was a member of Carrollwood Baptist Church where she frequently volunteered for mission work involving children. She also was a member of the JOY group and enjoyed traveling with the group. She often worked in her yard and loved growing African violets.

A visitation for Esther will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 14, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Garden Of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610.

If preferred, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carrollwood Baptist Church Children and Youth Ministry.
