BURKE, Emily M., passed away on Saturday March 26, 2016. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband George E. Burke. Emily is survived by her dear son Robert J. Burke (Ydelsi), grandson Angel R. Ortiz (Gladys), and great grandson Leandro and Rafael Ortiz. Emily was born in Ybor City and was a long-time resident of South Tampa and an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was a federal civil service employee and retired from MacDill AFB Credit Union and Builders Notice in Tampa. After her retirement from the workforce, Emily volunteered her time and energy to various organizations in the community. Emily will be greatly missed and a private family service will be held to celebrate her life and the positive impact she had on many people during her time on this earth.
