Elvira “Vera” Kitt, 91 died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. She was born in Brooklyn NY and was the daughter of the late Charles and Maria Maggio. She was the youngest of 5 children and was employed as a Secretary for the Federal Government. Vera was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where she volunteered her time and she was a member of the VFW #139 Women’s Auxiliary. She loved the ocean and her shells. Surviving are two daughters Barbara McGraw of Tallahassee, FL and Cynthia Perugino of Bushnell, FL; four grand children Kyler McGraw, Amanda Burns, James Burns and Daniel Kitt; three great grandchildren Morgan Cahill, Ryland Burns and a grand-daughter. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 on Saturday October 22, 2011 with services immediately following the viewing at Marsicano-B. Marion Reed-Stowers Funeral Home, 4040 Henderson Blvd, Tampa FL 33629. Entombment will be at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park.
