Eloise was a devoted mother who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for nature, often spending her days tending to her garden, where her nurturing spirit flourished. Additionally, she enjoyed working at the Church’s thrift shop. The beach was another of Eloise's favorite places, where she loved spending time with her family, creating countless memories that will forever be treasured.
Eloise is survived by her loving children: sons Michael Davis (Beverly) and Robert Douglas Davis, daughter Donna Donley (Michael), and daughter-in-law Pamala Davis. She also leaves behind her two beloved sisters, Bessie Lyle and Sharon Newman (Roland). Eloise was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Jennifer, Bryan, Robert, Vinson, Denise, and Diana, and a cherished great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren, Austin, Logan and Alexander.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Otis Davis, whom she married on August 24, 1948, in Folsom, Georgia. Together, they shared a life filled with love and devotion. Eloise is also preceded in death by her son, Ronald Davis; daughter-in-law, Juanita Davis; her brother, Vinson Mooney and her sisters Annie Pitts, Carmel Cone, Audrey Mooney and Avis Mooney.
Eloise will be remembered for her boundless love for her family, her passion for gardening, and her joy in life.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 7, at Garden Of Memories Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM officiated by Reverend Beth Bostrom. The service will be followed by a burial at Myrtle Hill Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eloise's memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Hillsborough United Methodist Church, located at 9008 Harney Rd., Tampa, FL 33637.
