Elizabeth Bregler Drake

Elizabeth Bregler (Betsy) Drake, 72, of Tampa, died Tuesday, November 7, 2023. She is survived by her husband, David R. Drake Jr.; son, David R. Drake III; daughter, Katherine Allshouse and her husband Andrew Allshouse; grandchildren, Brighton Allshouse, Weston Allshouse, and Raina Allshouse; and sister-in-law Kathy Bregler, and her nieces and nephews, Pricilla Lynn Peate and husband Martin Peate, Laura Hines and her husband Palmer Hines, Branwyn Bregler and preceded in death by her father, Wilfred A.C. Bregler (Bud); her mother, Isabelle Ramsey Bregler; and brothers, Fredrick William Bregler and John Ramsey Bregler (Jack).

A graduate of H.B. Plant High School and the University of South Florida, Mrs. Drake retired as a Program Manager for the Early Childhood Development Department for the Hillsborough County Public School District. She was a life long and Sustaining member of the Junior League of Tampa, a maid in the Court of Gasparilla, as well as member of the Sunset Garden Club, 100 Women Who Care of South Tampa, the Main Sheet Mamas Sailing Club, the Hillsborough Association of the Education of Young Children, and the Fendig Knitters.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 9th, 2023, at Blount & Curry Life Event Center, 605 S Macdill Ave, Tampa Florida 33609. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moffitt Cancer Center.
