Elizabeth "Betty" Headrick

Elizabeth “Betty” Headrick, 58, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Dec 2, 2016 after battling pancreatic cancer. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she spent her childhood in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, eventually moving to Jacksonville, Florida, and later settling in the Tampa Bay Area. Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Andre; son, Christian; daughter, Heather; parents John and Elizabeth Cahill; 5 brothers and 2 sisters; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her brother, John. Betty was always surrounded by many devoted and loving friends and she was very involved with the Gaither High School marching band, where she has sponsored a music scholarship for the past 2 years in her name to very deserving students. She had a love for gardening, birds and had a giving heart, always thinking of others. She was also involved with several organizations in the community, including the Best Buddies program. Her big smile and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10:30 am. Betty requests a gathering following her funeral mass at St Paul Family Life Center to share stories celebrating her life. Burial to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
