Edwin Burgos

He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on April 23, 1972. He attended Shelton High School, Class of 1991. He worked in the construction industry. Edwin had a passion for fishing, boating, and enjoyed water parks and cooking. He loved attending family gatherings, dancing, and spending time with his children at the beach. He will forever be remembered for his big heart, colossal smile, and his willingness to help anyone in need. Edwin was a friend to everyone.

He is survived by his wife Arelis Vazquez, children Selena Rodriguez, Edwin Rodriguez, and Marcos Burgos all of Tampa, FL., step children Americo Navedo of Portland, OR, Anestasia Lebron, Brandon Lebron, Valerie Lebron, Angel Morales, and granddaughter Lively Arzuaga all of Tampa, FL., father Herman Burgos and step mother Maria Luisa Burgos of Shelton, CT, sister Teresa Brantley and husband Rex Brantley of Stratford, CT, brother Anthony Burgos and wife Karina Burgos of Hamden, CT, sister Margarita Scobbo and husband Brad Scobbo of West Hartford, CT, step sisters Maria Rivera of Derby, CT, and Elba Fernandez of San Sebastian, P.R., and step brother Angel Fernandez of Shelton, CT, and a special cousin who he considered a sister

Glenda Garcia of Hamden, CT. He is predeceased by his mother Maria D. Burgos. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Catholic burial mass at Blessed Sacrament Church at 275 Union Avenue in Bridgeport, CT on April 6, 2022 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Stratford, CT.
