92, of Tampa, passed away on Wednesday, August 3rd. Dottie was born in Wellsburg, WV on August 31, 1923, before moving to Tampa in 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Joseph Eugene Bass, Jr. (Gene) and son Joseph E. Bass III. She is survived by her sisters, Vaunden Bedford and Carole Rae Fontany; children, Raymond (Doris) Bass; daughters, Connie (Greg) Pietz, and Anita (Frank) Tamargo; grandchildren, Caryn Larkin, Christie Otero, Ryan Bass, Brent Bass, Cory Bass, Ashley McGhee, Angela Tamargo, Carley Pietz, and Joey Tamargo; and great-grandchildren, Colin Larkin, Taylor Tamargo, Cole Bass, Ashton McGhee, Mason McGhee, Makenzie Bass, and Hadley Brightman. She loved the beach, playing cards and dominoes and was an avid Bucs fan. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and served as the ‘Recorder’ for 25 years. There will be a visitation on Friday August 12th from 3-5 P.M. with Services to follow at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S.
