She was born in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England on May 11, 1939 to Jesse May Bland and Percy Tyler Underwood. She was proud to become an American citizen in 1976, even though she was always a Brit at heart.
She leaves behind her loving family, three children: Terri Wolski, Lisa Jordan and Wayne Derrick. Six grandchildren: Ryan Wolski, Shane Wolski, Jessie Jordan, Ormond Derrick, Mira Benson and Blaze Derrick and one great-grandchild, Delilah Benson. She spent many happy years with her long-time boyfriend, Marco Oddo.
She led a great life and had many wonderful friends to whom we are all grateful. She had many very close friends, including Lizzie, Hazel, Jill, Alma and Charlene and others who we know she is having a spot of tea and a chat with in heaven, Patty, Rosemarie, Jeanne, Doris and Wendy. Her brother, Richard, preceded her to heaven by just a few days so they will also be reunited.
She will be greatly missed by many. Per her request there will be no service. The family is planning a party to honor her. No flowers please, she always felt that if you couldn’t send them when she could enjoy them, she didn’t want them when she was gone.
