This Florida native was born to the late Grover and Annie Bell Duncan, August 1940, in Shamrock. Demetria, best know as Dee, was the lead majorette at Franklin Jr. High School and graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1956. She was married to James E. Ward in 1957.
Dee is survived by her husband, James, and three daughters: Denise Evenson, Cindy Ward and Lisa Wade. She is also survived by her two granddaughters: Amanda Grayson and Morgan Wade; a great-grandson: Wyatt Grayson, and other loving relatives.
Dee was the secretary/treasurer of the family owned business, Ward Oil Co., and she enjoyed many hobbies including boating, hunting, and shopping. Dee was a world-wide traveler with her husband and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
Visitation ceremony with be held on Tuesday, February 26 2019 at 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 27,2019 at 12 p.m. at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories.
