Deborah Elaine Bonham Saunders

Deborah “Debi” Elaine Bonham Saunders, age 63, passed away peacefully in her sister’s embrace on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at home in Tampa, Florida. Debi was born October 24, 1960, to Lt. Col. Arthur Erwin Bonham and Carole Springston Bonham. As an Air Force dependent Debi was born in Germany. Her family settled in Nebo in 1996 after her father’s retirement from the United States Air Force.

Debi is preceded in death by her father, Lt. Col. Arthur Erwin Bonham; her husband, Steven Saunders; and uncle, Thomas Springston.

Debi was a blast to be around due to her zest for life. She had a unique sense of humor and could bring joy to anyone she met. Most of all, Debi made everyone feel loved and important. She was a giving and selfless person putting everyone’s needs before her own. Debi loved the beach and spent most of her adult life in Southern California. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Debi’s memory are her mother, Carole Springston Bonham; two sons, Travis Williams (Jenny Nelson) and Lyle “Luke” Williams (Jovan) both of Colorado; siblings, Marcy Taylor (Mike) and Kristina Ruis (Robbie) both of Tennessee; grandchildren, Destiny, Riley, Charlie, Harper, and Luke; aunts, Jacqueline Springston Baker, Laura Springston, and Joanne Corfman; uncles, Karl Springston (Ramie), John Bonham (Margaret), and James Bonham; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Dean Owenby officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Wilson-Ballew Cemetery.
