David J. Riggs of Morgantown, WV, and more recently of Tampa, FL, passed away July 3. He leaves behind his wife Patricia Riggs, his daughter Carol Riggs Keener, son-in-law Bud Keener, and stepson Nat Eichler.
David was an avid WVU fan all his life. He was a season ticket holder and loved watching both football and basketball.
He was very proud of being a Marine and serving his country. He remained active in the Morgantown Marine Corps League and the Marine Corps Scholarship fund raising golf tournaments in Tampa.
His passion, though, was golf. He loved tournament golf and played all over the United States and many parts of the world. He was a member of Pines Country Club in WV and Carrollwood Country Club in Tampa. He will be dearly missed by his family. I’ll meet you on the back nine, Honey.
