Born October 1,1962 in Palatka, Florida to Dan and Della Padgett. He was the oldest of 4 siblings. He grew up in Tampa, Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Tammy Padgett; his daughter, Olivia Scism; his son, David Padgett, Jr.; granddaughters: Emma Padgett, Alyssa Padgett, and Isabella Padgett; his parents: Dan and Della Padgett; siblings: Donovan Padgett, Dianna Barber, Douglas Padgett, and Pam Hardy; his favorite sister-in-law, Lisa Holley; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and family, too many to list, but not forgotten.
Heaven has gained a gentle soul, a teddy bear. Funny, witty, and devilish at times. He was a hard-working jack of all trades, a mechanic, cook, maintenance worker, and lastly his favorite a special needs school bus driver. He loved his students.
A visitation for David will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610. Funeral service will take place immediately after at 3:00 p.m.
