David Joseph Paczkowski, 78, affectionately known as "Grandpa Far", passed away Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family. David was born May 22, 1942, in Franklin, VA to his loving parents and an older brother. The family later moved to Brooklyn, New York where David discovered a love for computers, baseball, and good Chinese food. A member of the Army Reserves during his early twenties, David spent the next 35 years working for IBM; which took him and his family to New Jersey, Kentucky, and eventually Tampa, FL. David was an avid bowler, adventurous beer drinker, and long-time baseball fan. He is preceeded in death by his wife Mary Catherine, whom he married in 1965, and his parents Henry and Vera Grille. David is survived by his daughter Karen Corson and her husband Sam along with their four children: Joshua and his wife Meg, Emily, Adam, and Benjamin; his brother Robert Paczkowski and his wife Mary Lue.
A celebration of David's life will be held Sunday, March 14th from 2-4 p.m. at Blount and Curry Funeral Home located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618.
A funeral mass will take place Monday, March 15 at Sacred Heart Church at 10am.
