David was born in Stuttgart, Germany to John and Sieglinde Cameron. As a military family, they lived in both Germany and the States. During his high school years in Spring Hill, Florida, David joined the United States Youth Conservation Corps, developing a love of nature. He continued serving his country in the Army, Army Reserve, and the Florida National Guard. After graduation from the University of South Florida, he worked at Lockheed Martin for many years, as Senior Systems Analyst, specializing in computer programming and infrastructure. He enjoyed traveling with his family alternating between national monuments such as the Grand Canyon and the Smokey Mountains and the ocean on various cruises. David loved animals and volunteered for the SPCA. Fostering kittens was a favorite pastime he shared with his children. He loved God and family and was truly generous and loving.
David leaves behind his wife Jill Cameron; children John Cameron and Jessica Cameron; parents John and Sieglinde Cameron; and sister Pamela Cameron who all remember him lovingly.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 2 PM at Lutz Family Church in Lutz, Florida.
Flowers may be delivered to the church at 960 W Lutz Lake Fern Rd, Lutz, FL 33548 between 12:00 and 1:30 on Saturday, February 8th.
David will be laid to rest with military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on Friday, February 21st at 1:30 PM.
