Danielle was born on December 28, 1953, to the late Daniel and Frances Martucci in Buffalo, NY. After graduating from Immaculata Academy, Danielle met and married her husband, Peter H Witkop, and went on to have two children, Danni and Jack.
Danielle’s passion and purpose was caring for her family and those around her. She was a nanny and Nana to her two beloved grandchildren and was known as Nana to any friend that they brought home. She wouldn’t miss an event that her grandchildren participated in; she was always the first to volunteer for anything at their school, always ready with a meal and making time to socialize, talking with all who knew her. In addition, she volunteered at the local elementary school as a student aide or buddy.
Danielle loved to cook and shared that passion with her son, who found his way into culinary arts. She was willing to invite you into her kitchen to learn her favorite Italian recipes and was constantly trying new dishes out on her family. You could also find her in the gardens, growing anything that caught her eye.
Danielle is survived by her husband Peter, daughter Danni (Michael) Gallagher, son Jack (Alex) Witkop, and her grandchildren Zachary and Sophia Gallagher. She also leaves behind her brother John (Sue) Martucci and sisters, Dolores (Rusty) Browning and Lucille (late Charles) Faude. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members to forever cherish her memory.
A gathering for Danielle will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Blount & Curry FH-Macdill Chap, 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.blountcurrymacdill.com for the Witkop family.
