Clyde and his dad owned Tri-County Roofing for 30 years. Upon closing the business he began working for the Hillsborough County School District as a Bus Attendant with special needs students. Later he was asked to move into the classroom to become a Paraprofessional at Cypress Creek Elementary, that class moved to Lithia Springs Elementary which is where he met Susan Straub, who would become his wife.
Clyde was preceded in death by his father, Clyde F. Lee; mother, Joyce Moates; stepfather, Mitchell Moates; sister, Carol Floyd; brother-in-law, Dean Cooper.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Susan Lee; stepmom, Nancy Lee; sister, Linda Cooper; daughter, Joyce Spann (Brian); son, Clyde Arnold Lee II; mother of his children, Dian Lee; stepchildren, Tammy Bush, Michael Bush; four grandkids; six great-grandkids; brother-in-law, Steven Straub; sister-in-law, Sharon Hansen (Steven); and many nieces and nephews.
He loved Bass fishing with his father, so every year on their birthdays' they would go fishing for the week since their birthdays were just 1 day apart.
A celebration of life for Clyde will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. Inurnment to follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
