Christopher Sampson was born in Tampa, FL on June 6, 1983. He went to various schools until he finished with Caminiti Exceptional Center as an adult. Throughout his childhood he participated in the summer and winter special olympics. He competed in unassisted wheelchair races, he did the tennis ball throw, and his absolute favorite sport - bowling. Which he participated in year round with the support of his family and the wooden ramp his father built him. He also loved to be in the cabinet shop with his Big Papa - “bang-bang”-ing on the wood and also getting to climb into the cabinets that his grandfather and father built. As an adult, during an altar call at Idlewild Baptist Church, he said he wanted to go down. Shortly after that day, he was baptised at Idlewild Baptist church the same day as his father.
Christopher had an exceptional memory, even from a young age he learned how to spell his first, middle, and last name. He also remembered every person he ever met, remembering not only their name, but where they were from. Christopher always remembered them and he was rarely forgotten by those who crossed his path, in his own way leaving a mark on the hearts of those that had the joy of getting to know him and love him. His secord favorite thing besides bowling was singing songs and nursery rhymes, and of course, knowing all the words to every single one of them. He loved supervising lawn care and getting to push the lawn mower. When the family would play cards, Christopher always had his deck on hand and was ready to play his cards when it was his turn.
Christopher had such a big heart and so much love to give, and we as his family and friends were eager to bask in all the love he had to give and were eager ourselves to shower him in our own love and affection. He loved all his family and friends and he loved Jesus most of all.
A visitation for Christopher will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Idlewild Baptist Church, 18333 Exciting Idlewild Blvd, Lutz, FL 33548, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
