On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, Carolanne left here for heaven to be with her Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was extremely generous, a woman of deep faith and a prayer warrior who will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Carol was born in Greece, New York and predeceased her only living blood kin, older brother, James Barry Decker of, Fair Haven, Michigan.
She grew up in Rochester, New York, with a younger sister, Rosemary, and brother, John, who predeceased her. Carol was quite an athlete and played softball for several years with I.M.C. Industrial League Div. 1 team at Kodak Park. They were the division 1 champions in 1975.
After graduating High School, she was employed by Kodak Co. In Approximately 1976 she moved to Tampa, Florida and was employed by Vernon Graphics, a digital & screen-printing company. Here she had the opportunity to use her artistic abilities. From Vernon Graphics she was employed by L.L.T.’s Building Supplies, Inc. for approximately 25 years as an office manager.
She also predeceased the family in Tampa who took her into their home and allowed her to legally change her name, Carol Schwarze, to theirs, becoming Carolanne Schiro. They are Mom & Dad: Ronald & Beverly Schiro; brother, Alan Schiro; nephew Jonathan Schiro; brother, Steven Schiro (Mandy); and 3 nieces: Lindsay Schiro Sugrue (James), Danielle Schiro and Madison Schiro.
A memorial service for Carolanne will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 4PM to 5PM at Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618, followed by a gathering of friends and family from 5PM to 7PM.
