Carol C. Lofley, 99, of Tampa, Fla., peacefully passed away June 24, 2021 with her daughter at her side. She was a lifelong Tampa resident. She was born April 10, 1922 to James and Janie Campbell and was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Lofley, Jr. and all of her siblings, Dan, Jim, Cardel, Sadie, Buck, Mary, Dick and Bunny. She is survived by sons, William Savage (Helen), Melbourne Beach, Robert Lofley, III, Brandon; daughters, Gail Dreggors (Dwayne), Tampa, Donna Schneider, Dade City; plus several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a self-made woman and entrepreneur who once played golf with Arnold Palmer. Her dream came true when she built, operated and owned Carol’s Beauty Salon in Tampa. One of her favorite sayings that she attributed to her long life was “no drinking and no smoking.”
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
