Carol Beth Henderson, 58, of Lutz, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 3, 1963, in Aiken, South Carolina, to Chief Master Sergeant James E. Henderson and Shirley Memory Henderson, and grew up in Tampa, Florida.
Carol is survived by her mother, Shirley Memory Henderson; life partner of 16 years, James L. Terino, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Samantha Lagos of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin Lagos and Rachel Maxwell of Tallahassee; daughter, Ava Terino; her granddaughter and the “light of her life”, Isla Gardner Lagos; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Lee Ann Howlett of Tampa, Pamela Henderson Stross of Tampa, and Heidi and Charlie Zimmerman of Fairfax, Virginia; two nieces, Bailey and Taylor Zimmerman; and many other cherished family members and friends
Carol wore many hats: baker, comedian, model, seamstress and small business owner. She was a proud and devoted daughter, sister, partner and friend. Her greatest joy in life came from being the mother of the children she raised and the partners Sam & Ben had found. She found her light in being a grandmother and cherished every second of it.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home – Carrollwood at 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa, Florida 33618. A service celebrating Carol’s life will begin at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, Carol’s family has opened a college fund at The Bank of Tampa in Ava Terino’s name.
