Caren Ann Oden

Caren Popovics Oden passed away unexpectedly on November 29, 2022. She was 69 years young. Caren was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Oden. Caren is survived by her former husband, C. David Popovics. Caren is the proud mother of two children, Melissa Reimert (Curt) and Michael Popovics (Nichole). She is a wonderful grandmother to six grandchildren: Jenna, Cameran, Ashlyn, Riley, Aubrey and Chloe. Caren’s greatest love was her family. She cherished both of her children and all her grandchildren. Her children were ecstatically proud to call her Mom. Her grandchildren were proud to call her Nana. Caren retired from the School District of Hillsborough County after more than two decades of loyal service. Caren had a passion for gardening and was a spectator of hawks, butterflies and dragonflies. Caren had a heart of gold and will forever be remembered for her selfless, compassionate heart and kindness towards others. Caren always said “As you go through life, no matter what you do, or how you do it, you leave a footprint creating your legacy. Make it count”

The family will host a Celebration of Caren’s life at later date and will share information with friends and family.
