Our dear mother Candida Diaz sadly passed away on June 07, 2023 at the age of 82, surrounded by her daughters. She is preceded in death by her son, Felix Angel Merced Jr. She is survived by daughters and their husbands, Carmen/Miguel Maldonado and Carmen/Hasani Omarimuhammad. Granddaughter, Damaris Maldonado, Grandson and his wife Miguel /Kristen Maldonado, Grandson, Khaleed Omarimuhammad, Great grandchildren, Joe and Elijah Purvis.
She was a wonderful mother who was generous and giving individual. Anyone that knew Candy knew she was passionate about sewing and cooking. She was an active and devout member of La Sal De La Tierra.
The funeral is scheduled for 3pm - 6pm on June 11, 2023 at Gonzalez Funeral Home at 7209 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33614. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Candy’s life.
