Brent and I first worked on an indie film way back when. He and our friend Vee also helped me out with my late dad's documentary way back when I started college (sadly my late dad's documentary went missing when I moved to California). But I always remembered Brent's kindness. My late dad loved working with him and our friend Vee. Thank you Brent, for being great. I'm sorry we've lost touch, but I'm so happy you continued to do great things and left a legacy. Sending prayers of power and strength to all your loved ones.

I’ve known Brent all of his life. Brent and his brothers, Kevin and Glenn were very blessed to have had my sister for their mom. She was the perfect “boy mom” and the keeper of their dreams!  Brent had his mom’s free spirit and his dad’s extraordinary talent for writing and musical ability. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and friends whose lives are forever changed with the loss of husband, father, brother, confidant and friend.

Brent was such a genuine, unapologetic person. He said what he was thinking. He was kind and generous with his time and knowledge. I owe him basically my career. He took a chance on me, helped got me established, mentored me, and ultimately gave me space to grow and wobble my way into a steady foundation in the business. His family was gracious enough to let me stay with them for many film shoots since the commute for me was so long. It was great just to hang out with him and hear his stories. I remember eating something at his house that had me dripping in sweat while his kids devoured it like it was the most mild thing on the table. I remember so many conversations spread across drives or late nights in his driveway at the end of a job just talking about life and what we wanted to accomplish. He gave me so much. 
I don't know that there were many subjects of which he wasn't knowledgeable. Photography / cinematography seemed to be just a small piece of his career and yet he was very talented in that field. He had a bottomless love for his kids and he talked about them incessantly which I am even more grateful for now that I have two daughters of my own.
I couldn't help but look up to him. He was a father figure, a mentor, and I'd like to think a good friend that I am so happy to have gotten to know over the years. Brent was just someone I wanted to be more like. I'm saddened and regretful that so much time slipped by without us speaking just due to the nature of work and family life. We had some wonderful memories and had there been more of them it still wouldn't have been enough. The world has lost a truly great person who touched the lives of many. I just hope that through those connections his memory continues on.

I can't remember what this job was for but it is just another addition to Brent's long list of skills and another way in which my professional and personal life was enriched having known him.

Even in the roughest situations, I can't say I remember him every truly far from a smile. He just had a great way of looking at the world and making things okay.

I feel like I had so many fun sayings of his rattling around in my head over these years. I still feel that he'd forgotten more about filmmaking than I would probably ever learn.

There was a little stretch on the jobs I did with him where I had a camera around and would try to get pictures when it made sense or we had time.

Brent did a review or a promo or something for these lights. So he asked me to get some photos of him working with them and setting them up.

We named that camera cart together. I was lucky to work under him for so long and get to do fun and interesting jobs like these.

Who didn't love listening to him sing or play guitar on some occasion. It was always so cool to me how he could just start playing something out of seemingly nowhere. He was tremendously gifted in so many areas.

We snapped these photos some late afternoon and it was just fun experimenting with light in probably one of the only real portrait style things I've done.

I never made claims to be more than a hobbyist in photography but it was always just fun to hang out with Brent in any setting.

When I bought my first DSLR after working with him for awhile he was gracious enough to let me photograph him in a spot he thought would be cool.

Distance does not negate our heart felt sympathy for your loss. When life feels like too much what we need is a gentle touch and a quiet presence. We are held steady by these anchors in our grief stricken moments.  I never had the privilege of living close by for these many years but I am very much aware that Brent was a very talented and family loving man. I was so saddened to hear of Brent’s passing.  He was so talented and a great friend at HSN.  He helped me smile and look at life on a brighter side after we lost our son.  He mentioned he was working on recording some of his music. I hope he did, especially for his family to have.  It may help bring them some peace and comfort.

My heart and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time. Fly high among the angels Brent. You will never be forgotten and will live forever in the hearts of many, including mine. Rest in peace my dear friend.  Gone way too soon.

To Brandi, Cayli, Cari, and the Reynolds Family,

My heart is with you all. 

Brandi and Cayli, your dad was an amazing father to you both and you guys were always his favorite topic. With every story he told of childhood mishaps and the funny things you guys would get into, I could see truly see the pride and joy he had in you two as his daughters. You guys are two of my closest friends and your dad made such an impact on my life. I think about all the lessons he has taught me over the years to this day and he was truly a one of a kind man.

Cari, you and Brent have welcomed me into your home more times than I count. We have all spent so much time in that living room talking about anything and everything. Many of my favorite memories were spent there and I feel so fortunate that I got spend as much time with Brent as I did. Thank you both for always being there for me when I needed it. 

Brent, this has been tough for me to accept that you’re gone. You were truly one of the few people in this world that was genuine and kind. A lot of the times I was coming over to hang out with Brandi and Cayli, I was honestly more excited at the chance to get to hear another story or talk about random movie trivia with their hilarious dad. Even though it will not be the same without your input, I promise Brandi, Cayli, and I are still going to sit in that living room and discuss our plans for taking over the world. Thank you for always telling me to believe in myself and to always have a hunger for learning. Your lessons have helped me become a better man and I wish I could have told you thank you one more time. Thank you Brent. Thank you for everything.

I will miss Brent’s visits to me in Jersey Mills very much. Until last year when he was so ill, he came every year and we had many, good conversations about his wonderful memories of coming to my cabin when he was  a youngster hanging out with my little brother, Phillip.  He loved this place . 

We often talked about family. He asked me to tell him what I knew about his family because he didn’t have very much background information and I had compiled a book about my family history for the young people in my own family which he enjoyed looking through and wanted to know more about his own family.

On one occasion his daughter was with him and the came down and cooked a spaghetti dinner to share with me. It was a lovely evening.

I send my deepest sympathy to Brent’s daughters and to Kevin and Glen I know how deeply he loved you all. May Angels guide him to paradise and may he rest in peace and rise in glory.

I'll always remember how you picked up my guitar at Bluewater and played perfect classical compositions effortlessly. I'll remember how you helped me get the job at Pitch Media. I'll remember you making me laugh by suggesting that we tell the client, "That's extree," when they changed the scope of the project. I'll remember the honesty, humor, and smile that helped us get through the tumultuous years that surrounded 2020.

From our first project at Reliant International Media—the Franklin Mint Presidential Dollar Coins—to our last project at Red House Streaming, working on the Live Play Workshop, our paths crossed often, and I am better for that.

Rest easy, Brent. You are missed dearly.

It is impossible to not love Brent. Despite meeting him while working amongst a group filled with bad people, very immediately upon getting to know him it was clear he was one of the greatest men I had ever known and likely will ever know. My first time meeting him we had to share a hotel room for a week and I was immediately fascinated by this man who seemed to have a mind that was not only brimming with knowledge, but still yearned to find out more. He was extremely humble despite having no reason to be. Men with a heart and mind of his caliber are increasingly hard to come by, and the world has lost a priceless treasure with his passing. In the span of five minutes he could offer me advice like a father would, make me laugh like a friend would, chastise me when I was not living up to my potential, educate me in great detail on an extremely obscure topic, and  fill me with hope and excitement. Truly a marvel of a man. Despite being over twice my age, Brent was one of my best friends. This picture encapsulates a key side of Brent. Regardless of how qualified and distinguished of a man and leader he was, Brent never ceased to amaze me with how he was able to make himself and everyone around him have a good time. I love you Brent

Brent was a wonderful mentor to so many in the film industry around Tampa/Lakeland Florida area. He always had a movie quote ready for any situation. And no one else could give you lyrics to any song just by a word or a beat. He loved set life and he Loved his girls. He was so proud of them. Brent you were a great talent and we lost that so the world is a little less now but we are so thankful to have had the chance to learn from you and thank you for always giving me chances. I appreciated you.
