Blanche (Blanca) Valdez, 91, of Tampa, passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 29th 2015. She was born on a ship, the S.S. Comanche, on April 4th 1924 in route from New York to Florida. She was a caring mother and grandmother, dearly loved by all her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Rosie Cardoso Scott. She is survived by her son, Delio Cardoso Jr. (Rosanna) and her daughters, Diana Cardoso Rodriguez (Carlos) and Gloria Cardoso Patino (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Carlos A. Rodriguez, Michael Escobedo, Ricky Morales, Joey Patino, Leslie Cardoso Garcia, Angela Leon Vetrano, Michelle Rodriguez Garcia, Valerie Cardoso Watson, and Belinda Rodriguez; also 12 great grandchildren. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to LifePath Hospice. Gathering of friends and family from 6:00 – 7:00 PM; Celebration of Life will begin at 7:00 PM, all on Monday, Nov 2, at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 813-931-1833.
