Billy Joe "BJ" Weeks

He is survived by his wife Ruth, daughter Kim Koletic (Tim), his grandsons, Kyle, Cody, Blake and his great granddaughter Eleanor.

BJ served as a helicopter mechanic with the US Army’s “49ers- Korea’s First and Finest” and with the 54th Helicopter Ambulance Co. After returning from Korea, BJ had a career as a fireman and engineer with Seaboard Railroad where he forged lifelong friendships before retiring from the railroad for a career in real estate.

After 40 years as a Realtor, BJ achieved emeritus status in 2011. BJ recently became an involved and devoted member of Faith Baptist Church, where his step-brother was the founding and former pastor.

Donations may be made in his honor to: Wounded Warriors, St. Jude’s, or Shriners' Hospital for Children.

A visitation for Billy will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home -Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida 33618, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
