Betty M. Aplin, 84, of Tampa, entered Heaven on February 5, 2021. Betty came from humble beginnings and worked hard to eventually earn her general contractors license, building over a thousand residential units. This would be a record for a female general contractor in Hillsborough County, one that still holds to this day. Her life was a picture of humility and love of family. She was known for her selfless nature, along with a compassionate and generous heart. As her time on this earth drew near, she longed for Heaven with a determined and confident faith. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Creekside Church. Her love of cooking and serving others brought her happiness as well as cruising with her family.
She is reunited in Heaven with her husband of 54 years, Henry Aplin, Jr.. Parents Ovid and Ruthie Maddox, brother Billy Maddox and beloved sister Barbara English. In lieu of flowers an account has been established to fulfill ministry opportunities at her home church. Please designate gifts in memory of Betty Aplin to Creekside Church, 311 Newberger Road Lutz FL 33549.
A celebration of life graveside services will be held Thursday 9:30 AM at Myrtle Hill Cemetery followed by a time to share and fellowship at 11:30am on the family farm 5832 Drexel Road Land O’ Lakes FL 34638.
