Barbara Jones

Barbara Joan Jefferson Jones was born on January 23, 1935 to the late: John Ware and Josephine Wooden. Barbara accepted Christ at the age of 20 years old and she was baptized by the late Rev. Clay Evans. Once relocating to Tampa, Barbara united with St. John Cathedral (formerly St. John Missionary Baptist Church) under the leadership of the late Bishop Eddie Newkirk) and now the current Senior Pastor Dwight Newkirk.

She was preceded in death by her Mother: Josephine Wooden; Father: John Ware; Husband: Tony Lee Jefferson; Sons: Bruce and Orlando Jefferson; Daughter: Brenda Robinson; Grandson: Taylor Jefferson; and Great-Granddaughter: Nyasia Yolanda Jefferson.

She leaves to celebrate her life: Daughter: Barbara; Son: Tony; Brother: James; Daughter-in-Law: Gwendolyn; Grandchildren: Yolanda (Dwayne), Tony (Yarzita), Joseph (Nashira), Tyree (Liz), Carrea (Cedric), Tanisha (Kingsley), Ashlegh (Wayne), Alex, Savoy, Yvette, Constance (Connie), Sam, Galeshia (Lele), and Gameshia (Fatima); Great-Grandchildren: Brianna, Ezekiel, Tysen, Taj, Lucas, Jordan, Eric, Nasheem, Nasirr, Izayah, Aspen, Tredyn, Camdyn, Camryn, Brendyn, Jakori, Kimani, and JaJuan; Great-Grandson: Kai Elijah; Godchildren: Connie (Richard), Cathy (Willy), Patricia (Johnny), Jean, Mae, and Debbie; and host of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and many friends.
