Autry DeWitt Boyett, age 85, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. He was born on Cordele, Georgia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He returned to high school as an adult, receiving his high school diploma from King High School in 1987.
He enjoyed driving and was a commercial driver for Harris Paints for 28 years, he was Warehouse Manager for 5 years; earning many safety awards throughout his career. He retired having worked 20 years with Perfect Attendance. During retirement Autry operated a tram at Busch Gardens for 10 years.
His beloved wife Harriett L. Boyett, predeceased him on 2010.
Autry is survived by his children; Randy Boyett (Kimberly), Ronald Boyett (Kim), Jacqulyne Gilbert, Donna Boyett, Kimberly Adabe (Ricardo Adabe), grandchildren; Ashley Mackenn, Tiffany Matheney, Brandy Boyett, Jessica Moore, Crystal Serenelli, Jerrica Farshid, Brittany Bray, Curtis Williams, Michael Gilbert, Cody Boyett, and Krisi Boyett, numerous great grandchildren, and a large extended family.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 11 am with visitation one hour prior at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610. Military honors will be presented immediately following the service. Committal service will be private.
