Anthony John Saitta

90, of Apollo Beach, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. He was born in Tampa and raised in New York. Tony was in the army and stationed in Germany in the early 1950’s. Tony met Carol Caturani and they married in 1954. Tony was in the tire business at Korvette’s Tires Inc. for 25 years. He worked his way from Store Manager to Executive Vice President of Advertising. Tony was a town councilman in Thornwood, New York for two years as well, and when the family moved to Florida, he took over his father’s cigar store and mail-order business in Ybor City, Florida. He loved life, his family, science, fishing, and gardening. He was preceded in death by his spouse Carol. He is survived by his children Bob and Bill, grandchildren Jessica, Nick, Kayla, Marty, and Carol, and great grandchildren Killian-Glenn, Leland, Luna, Ronan-Kane, Liam-Gregory, Alice, and Lily. The family will hold a private service at the Italian Club Cemetery, 2520 East 24th Avenue, Tampa, FL. The funeral home is Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 South MacDill Avenue, Tampa, FL, 33609.
