Anna Louisa Lopez Fuente

FUENTE, Anna Louisa Lopez, 80, a native and long-time resident of Tampa, passed away on December 10, 2015. Born December 7, 1935, Anna graduated from Jefferson High School in 1953 and days later married the love of her life, Carlos Arturo Fuente. Carlos and Anna were married for 62 years, during which time they worked together in the United States and the Dominican Republic to build their family company, Arturo Fuente Cigars. Anna was surrounded by family, in body, prayer and spirit, at the time of her death. She is survived by her loving husband Carlos Arturo Fuente, children Carlos Fuente, Jr., Cynthia Fuente Suarez and Richard Fuente, grandchildren Liana Fuente, Rosana Fuente, Christina Suarez, Lidiana Fuente, Bianca Suarez, Sofia Fuente and Carlos Fuente III, her great-grandsons Alvaro Valerio, Jr. and Arturo Valerio, and brother Philip Lopez. Anna was preceded in death by her grandson Carlos O. Suarez, her parents, Phillip and Delia Lopez, and by her aunt Fedelia Blanco, who raised her. Anna was the center of her family’s life, and her passing will be deeply felt by all. A memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3012 W. Cherry St., Tampa Florida 33607. Interment will immediately follow at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa Florida 33610. The family will receive guests beginning at 5:00 pm at the Fuente Building, 1310 N. 22nd St., Tampa, Florida 33605. The family respectfully requests no visitors at the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, The Humane Society of Tampa Bay, or Southeastern Guide Dogs.
