It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our dear mother and sister Angie Cammarata Tyre, who passed away on February 10, 2022. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin May 10, 1935 to Gaetano Cammarata and Carmela Cammarata, she grew up in Tampa and graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1953. She then attended and graduated from Tampa Business College in 1955. After marriage she moved to Little Rock, Arknasas welcoming the birth of her daughter, and then moved back to Tampa where her son was born.
Her life's journey then took her to Orlando, Florida where she entered the corporate world working for Standard Oil and then Owens Illinois. Upon her relocation back to Tampa she worked for Raymond James, and then Raymond Murray, Tampa businessman & philanthopist. His retirement gift to her was an Alaskan cruise - a trip of a lifetime - accompanied by her daughter. After retirement Angie helped out at her son's cigar store - Cammarata Cigar Company.
Angie's life was dedicated to her family & children. She loved gardening and took pride in her many flowering plants. She was strong-willed, intelligent, opinionated, and determined. There was nothing she could not accomplish. She served as an excellent role model for both her daughter and son. We will miss you Mom.
She is predeceased by her parents, and brother Joseph Cammarata. Angie is survived by her daughter Carmela Tyre Pignataro (Richard), son James Thomas Tyre, her brother Louis Cammarata, and extended family.
A Visitation for Angie will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
