Andrew John Bukowski

June 13, 2023, Andrew Bukowski, 66, of Tampa, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife Sandy at his side. After a courageous fight with cancer with never a complaint, the clouds lifted and he was ushered into heaven by all his loved ones that had gone before him.

A longtime resident of Tampa, Andrew was born in Gorki, Poland and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Andrew completed training with World Com and graduated from CCNY and DeVry Technical Institute with honors before taking a position with MCI in New York. After working several years for MCI, Andrew decided to follow his entrepreneur aspirations and start his own business in Tampa. As Founder and President of Screens R Us he built a business that today includes thousands of customers.

Andrew lived life to the fullest surrounded by a host of friends and family. He loved the beach, concerts, boating, traveling, skiing, dancing, theater, Rays, Lightning and Bucs games, and any event where he could smoke a cigar and raise a glass in celebration of life. He also enjoyed the Gasparilla parade season as a member of the Westchase Krewe of the Freebooters. Most of all, he leaves an unfillable gap in the hearts of his friends and family.

Andrew is predeceased by his father Czeslaw Bukowski, mother Jadwiga, brother John, sister-in-law Jeanette, cousin Eric, Aunt Henia and uncles Frank and Czeslaw. He leaves behind his wife Sandy, sister Barbara (Mark), brothers Tolek (Christine), Lester (Ursula), sisters-in-law Beverly and Susan (Stanley). He is also survived by nephews Mark (Heather), Robert (Kaitlin), Derek, Michael (Amy), Christopher and Brendan. Nieces, Kim (Jay) and Monica (Jack), and a host of family and friends here and in Poland who loved him very much.

Family will receive friends on Monday, June 19, 2023, from 3:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, 6802 Silvermill Dr., Tampa, FL 33635 followed by Mass on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Incarnation, 5124 Gateway Dr., Tampa, FL 33615.
