SANCHEZ, Alice M., 85, passed away peacefully at home on April 21, 2018. She retired from Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office as a Detention Corporal. Alice enjoyed crafting, crocheting, quilting, designing silk floral arrangements, creating exceptional wedding and birthday cakes, sewing, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Sanchez and her son in-law Michael Farraj. Alice is survived by her sister, Mary Cory; son Dale Sanchez and his wife Tonya, daughters; Darlene King, Rita Vieira and her husband Tommy, Tanya Parker and her husband Sonny, Sonya Brown and her husband Scott, Denise Farraj, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family. Family will receive friends from 2 - 2:30pm, with a funeral service beginning at 2:30pm, Saturday, April 28th, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at the Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
